Lonesome Lake 2017
It's a beautiful hike from The Basin on the Basin-Cascades Trail to the Cascade Brook Trail and on to Lonesome Lake. Grab a quick lunch and enjoy the view while siting on the platform overlooking the lake. Walk the boardwalk around the lake then head down to Lafayette Place on Lonesome Lake Trail. Take the Pemi Trail or follow the Franconia Notch Recreation Path (Link-Trail) back to The Basin. A great day hike, about 6.1 miles and an elevation gain of about 1200'.
